Behind every successful property transaction is a dedicated professional ensuring that every detail is handled with care and precision. At ESI Attorneys, Corinne Wolmarans is one such professional, playing a vital role in our bond registration department.
Corinne’s journey began in the small Free State town of Riebeeckstad, where she was born and raised. Growing up in a close-knit community, she enjoyed an active childhood filled with hockey, friendships, and strong family ties – values that continue to shape her approach to both life and work.
After completing her schooling, Corinne explored various opportunities, including working as a casual employee at Edgars and later as a litigation secretary. Her move to Pretoria in 1999 marked the beginning of her career in conveyancing, a field in which she would build extensive expertise over the years. Starting as a junior, she steadily developed her skills across transfers, bond cancellations and bond registrations, gaining valuable experience working with major financial institutions such as ABSA, FNB, Nedbank and Standard Bank.
In 2017, Corinne and her family made the big move to Cape Town, where she continued her career at STBB Attorneys, focussing on Standard Bank bonds. Her journey with ESI Attorneys began in 2022, and she has since become an integral part of the team.
In her current role, Corinne manages Nedbank bond registrations from start to finish. Her work spans opening files, drafting bond documents, liaising with the bank to secure lodgement proceeds and overseeing lodgements and registrations at the Deeds Office. She also ensures that clients are kept informed and supported throughout the process, providing clarity and reassurance during what can often be a complex transaction.
While Corinne’s professional achievements are impressive, she is most proud of her family. She describes her husband, Dirk, as her rock and best friend and takes immense pride in their two children: a daughter who has matriculated and a teenage son.
Outside of the office, Corinne embraces a balanced and active lifestyle. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, whether it’s watching movies, chatting around the braai or exploring the outdoors through camping trips. She also prioritises her health and wellbeing, making time for running and gym sessions.
Corinne lives by a simple yet meaningful philosophy: to appreciate life’s small moments, take each day as it comes and to cherish the time we have. It’s an outlook that reflects not only in her personal life, but also in the calm, dependable way she supports her colleagues and clients every day.
