At ESI Attorneys, we are proud to introduce one of our dedicated Conveyancers and Attorneys, Anastasia Arends.
Originally from Cape Town, Anastasia spent her early years in Claremont before moving to Durbanville with her parents in 2000. Although she was raised in the city, she has always felt drawn to country and farm life and would choose that lifestyle over city living any day.
Anastasia attended Fairmont High School before completing her studies through University of South Africa. Her legal journey began in 2014 when she entered the legal field while simultaneously studying toward her law degree. Starting as a filing clerk, she steadily worked her way up through various roles, including junior legal secretary and eventually conveyancing secretary during the final years of her studies.
In 2021, Anastasia proudly obtained her law degree, a milestone made even more meaningful by the determination and sacrifice it required. She completed her articles and was admitted as an Attorney in 2023, followed by her admission as a Conveyancer in 2024.
Today at ESI, Anastasia’s role includes meeting with clients to sign transfer and bond documents, as well as preparing transfer, bond and bond cancellation documents for lodgement at the Deeds Office. Her calm professionalism and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the team.
Outside of work, Anastasia recently celebrated another exciting milestone: marrying her husband in March 2026. Together, they are raising their beautiful baby girl, who she describes as their “biggest joy and blessing.”
When asked what life motto she lives by, Anastasia shares: “Mindset is everything.” She believes that mindset shapes the way we approach every aspect of life – from work and relationships to daily challenges – and that it is one of the most powerful things we can control.
In her spare time, Anastasia loves spending time outdoors with her family, exploring new places, and trying new experiences. Whether at home or adventuring somewhere new, family time remains at the centre of it all.
We are grateful to have Anastasia as part of the ESI family and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and thrive in her career.
