ESI Attorneys Proudly Participating in the National Pilot Programme
The property landscape in South Africa is entering a bold new era with the introduction of the Electronic Deeds Registry System (e-DRS)—a digital platform that aims to modernise and streamline the property registration process. And we’re proud to share that ESI Attorneys has been selected to participate in the pilot phase of this exciting national rollout.
What is e-DRS?
The Electronic Deeds Registry System is a secure, paperless platform developed by the Deeds Office in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD). It will allow conveyancers and deeds office officials to:
Lodge, process, and register property transfers online
Digitally sign deeds and supporting documents
Track progress in real-time
Enhance transparency and reduce delays
The goal is to improve turnaround times, eliminate physical document handling, and reduce the risk of lost or damaged paperwork—all while maintaining the security and legal integrity of property transactions.
ESI Attorneys: A Trusted Firm at the Forefront
We are honoured to have been invited to participate in the pilot phase of e-DRS, alongside a select group of forward-thinking conveyancing firms across the country. This invitation reflects our:
