We’re excited to introduce you to Rushaana Kabley, a valued member of our Bond Cancellation Department at ESI Attorneys.
Rushaana grew up in Steenberg in a warm and close-knit household, surrounded by her parents, three sisters and her grandparents who lived with them. This environment shaped her strong sense of family, support and connection, values that continue to shine through in both her personal and professional life.
Her career in the legal field began in 2003 when she started as a paralegal at Datnows Attorneys, working in debt collection. From there, she built an impressive and diverse career, gaining experience at Bawa Abrahams & Associates and Biccari Bollo Mariano Inc, where she worked in litigation, administration of estates and family law. She later joined Strauss Daly Inc, specialising in foreclosures and bond cancellations – expertise she now brings to our team at ESI.
At home, Rushaana is a proud wife and mother to one daughter, as well as a loving “bonus mom” to her husband’s three daughters. Her family is at the heart of everything she does and remains her greatest source of pride.
In her role as a bond cancellation secretary, Rushaana thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Her days are filled with liaising with banks for cancellation figures, corresponding with clients and attorneys and tracking progress at the Deeds Office. She plays a critical role in ensuring that all financial aspects are accurate and that every requirement is met before a bond cancellation can proceed. With her strong attention to detail, organisation, and clear communication, she helps keep matters running smoothly, even when things get unpredictable.
What she enjoys most, however, is that rewarding moment when everything comes together:
“There’s something very satisfying about finally getting a bond cancelled… it’s basically the closest thing we have to a ‘mic drop’ moment in the Deeds Office world.”
Rushaana’s outlook on life is guided by the principle of Tawakkul: trusting in God’s plan while putting in your best effort and leaving the outcome in His hands. This mindset keeps her grounded, patient and resilient, no matter what challenges come her way.
When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find Rushaana in the kitchen experimenting with new dishes, enjoying a walk along the beach, or spending quality time laughing with family and friends – her favourite way to unwind.
We’re proud to have Rushaana as part of the ESI team and grateful for the dedication, positivity, and care she brings to her role every day.
