TRANSFER ATTORNEYS ARE APPOINTED
THE PROCESS
The Seller has the right to appoint his own attorney, failing which the estate agent will appoint a transfer attorney on his behalf – usually a firm that they work with regularly and are confident of good service.

ATTORNEY
POTENTIAL DELAYS
If the Seller appoints his own attorney, they may not have a conveyancing department and need to appoint a correspondent to act on their behalf, or they may not have the same focus on expedient and efficient service as ESI Attorneys. The Seller’s own appointed attorney may not have an established relationship with the Municipality, SARS and the Deeds Office and require agents to act on their behalf.
