MASTER’S OFFICE CONSENT IS OBTAINED
THE PROCESS
If the current owner of the house is deceased and the buyer is purchasing it from the deceased estate, the Master of the High Court has to approve the transfer.
The deceased estate attorneys will submit various documents to the Master’s Office, including the agreement of sale.
If the Master approves the transfer, a Section 42(2) certificate is issued, which must be lodged at the Deeds Office together with the other transfer documents.
