The contract of sale will ideally have a date on which the handover of the property is to occur as well as a rental amount should the occupation date and registration date not coincide. The rental will be charged pro rata for the number of days between occupation and registration.

Each party arranges for their own moving company and the estate agent will attend to handing over the keys.
